How It Works

What We Do

We offer single, professional adults the opportunity to meet others in a comfortable, social environment. Face2Face events are held in a variety of locations throughout the metropolitan St. Louis area. Commonly known as Speed Dating, our events allow our participants to meet 15-20 potential partners in a three-hour period of time. We use 5-minute 'mini-dates' that allow our participants to briefly meet each other and share information in a relaxed, fun-filled evening.

Finding An Event for You

All of our upcoming events are listed under the 'Events' page of our web page. Events are listed with dates, times, and neighborhood locations. Further details on the exact location of the event are provided via e-mail after your registration is complete.

Registration

After deciding which Face2Face event you want to attend, simply register via our secure website. This will require some contact information so we know how to reach you via e-mail, as well as credit card/bank card information in order to pay for your registration and secure your spot at our event. Part of the registration process includes setting up a login so you can input your choices for partners after the Speed Dating event you attend.

Once your registration is complete, you will receive an e-mail confirmation from us. This confirmation will give you details on the exact location of the event. You will also receive further information on how the Speed Dating evening will work.

At the Event

If you have questions, or are a bit nervous when you arrive, don't worry! Our Face2Face Hosts will be on hand to meet and greet you, and make sure you know what to expect throughout the evening. Our Hosts will sign you in and give you your 'guest pack,' which contains your 'scorecard' for the evening. It will also contain your badge number, which will be used as a form of identification throughout the evening. Next, our hosts will escort you to the bar, where you can relax with a complimentary drink until the Speed Dating begins.

Once all participants have arrived, our Hosts will conduct a brief 'training' to explain how the Speed Dating process works. Each female participant sits at the table that corresponds to her badge number. The women will remain at that table throughout the Speed Dating process. Male participants will begin the event at the table that corresponds to their badge number. They will then move to the next table at the end of each 5-minute session.

Your guest pack contains materials for you to record notes/comments on each of the people you meet. It is set up in a format that allows you to jot down their 'badge number', their first name, and any comments that might help you remember things you talked about, or things you liked or disliked about each 'date.' We call this your 'scorecard'. We encourage you to make notes during your date, and expect your 'dates' to also make notes about you. In the course of the evening, you will meet 15-20 prospective partners. Without making notes, it will be very difficult to remember conversations you had with the people you met early in the evening, and it can be confusing if you don't make notes.

At the end of the Speed Dating session, participants are encouraged to stay and mingle with other attendees. This is a good opportunity to spend more time with 'dates' you felt an attraction to throughout the evening.

After the Event

Your scorecard will be essential when you log into our website after the event to record your date preferences. This is a simple process. All you have to do is log in using the password you setup when you registered, and go to the event you attended. There, you will be able to enter the 'badge number' of the dates you are interested in meeting again. This is where your notes will help you. We recommend you enter this information within 24 hours of attending your event. Face2Face will be processing the matches within 48 hours of the event. For each match (you select a date who also selected you), Face2Face will notify you via e-mail with his/her first name, badge number, and e-mail address. You can take it from there! Don't you just love e-mail?

We are currently conducting Face2Face Speed Dating events throughout the metropolitan St. Louis area. In the future we plan on expanding our services to other types of single events.

Remember, in order to maintain your privacy and confidentiality, Face2Face will never provide any information other than your first name, badge number from your event, and your e-mail address. And we will only give this information to someone who selected you, and you also selected as someone you want to meet again.

If you choose to exchange any contact information with anyone you meet during any part of a Face2Face event, it is totally your choice.
